Crossville Studios’ collaborative workspace brings Halloween cheer

Jacksonville, Fla.— Five children recently received custom-made Halloween costumes that transformed their wheelchairs into one-of-a-kind vehicles. Crossville Studios donated its warehouse space, located here, to help with the transformation in partnership with RS&H Corporate Headquarters. A unique community outreach partnership brought together architects, designers, engineers, contractors and manufacturers to build these costumes.

The adaptive costumes included a Cinderella’s carriage, a 1969 yellow racing Camaro, a Walt Disney World Monorail and Vaneloppe’s Candy Cart from “Wreck-It Ralph,” and were provided to the children who requested them through the Independent Resource Living Center.

“We’re excited to be a part of this incredible community outreach project that transforms wheelchairs into awesome vehicles allowing children to get around in style on Halloween,” said Bill Patin, Crossville Studios regional sales manager. “This unique collaboration provides a fun working environment in our warehouse as we volunteer on the build teams for these adaptive costumes.”

This is the first year Crossville Studios has donated the working space and plans to continue the collaboration with RS&H.
