Bostik, Inc. one of the world’s largest manufacturers of adhesives and sealants graciously sponsored a major book-signing event on September 28. On a rooftop deck in the chic Yorkville section of Toronto, a formidable and enthusiastic crowd — including a major cross-section of the “who’s who” of Canadian architecture — joined to celebrate well-known architect and interior designer Dee Eustace Taylor, Principal of Taylor Hannah Architect, Inc., who unveiled her new book, Dee Dee Rules: NYC Life, Love and Design.
In it, the author shares 365 Design Rules as she humorously and without filters, journals her daily life over the course of a year living in New York City. With over 75 images of Dee Dee’s architecture / interior design projects, the book balances the hot topics of life, love and design, while inspiring readers endlessly to “love designing your life.”
“We were pleased to sponsor the event,” exclaimed Scott Banda, director of marketing and business development for Bostik. “Dee Dee’s firm not only regularly specifies Bostik products… she was our at-show spokesperson both at HD Expo in Las Vegas and the AIA Convention in Philadelphia. She is currently helping us better address a genre she knows so well: the North American architectural and design community.”
Dr. Ted Acworth, president and CEO of Artaic Innovative Mosaic, Bostik’s marketing partner, added, “This beautiful evening proved to not only be a great tribute to Dee Dee, but also the networking opportunities were amazing. A great deal of state-of-the-art architectural project work comes from our neighbors up north. A number of key Canadian architectural movers-and-shakers were in attendance. Overall, the event couldn’t have been better!”
