Tarkett supports LLS Light the Night fundraiser

Henderson, Nev.—As part of a company-wide focus to support important charities and those affected by life changing illnesses, Tarkett created its own Light the Night team during the Tarkett Residential sales meeting, held in Las Vegas during The International Surface Event (TISE), to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).

Employees attending the show January 22 to 25 took part in this event and raised $11,765 in less than a month. The walk took place here and lit the night to spread awareness of the illness.

“The night was filled with a celebration of friendship, hope, remembrance and support. With our lanterns lighting the night, we all felt stronger in the fight against this terrible disease and were uplifted knowing that we are never alone,” said Elizabeth Hurley, vice president residential sales.

LLS is the world’s largest organization dedicated to battling blood cancer. LLS funding has helped advance 34 of the 39 blood cancer treatments approved by the FDA since 2017, according to the company. LLS has invested $1.2 billion in critical research since 1949, and to date 93,000 patients have been supported by their services since its inception. The research the organization is funding is impacting many other forms of cancer including breast, lung and pancreatic.

Contributions can still be made through February 9, here.
